Gathering Criteria/ Analysis

The company needed a complete logo redesign overhaul. Their previous logo did not accurately reflect the business values nor have a memorable impact on viewers.

I began with analysing their original logo. Their original logo was a globe with a mixture of various colours. I wanted to keep as many elements as possible while ensuring new values are being represented.

After liaising with the client, I narrowed down their expectations of what the newly designed logo needed to represent.

•  Community
•  Help/ Support
•  Technology
•  Innovation

Font Modification

For the font, I wanted to give it a technological feel to it. I modified the font to give it a sharper and simplistic feel.

I chose a Sans Serif font to ensure it looks clean and modern.

The font chosen was called 'Gilroy'. A premium modern Sans Serif font, to give the font a look of innovation and have a modern touch.

Usage

As the company was a mobile app design, the logo needed to fit prominently on stand-alone mobile devices, as well as websites, and paper documents.

Ideation and Scrapped Ideas

When coming up with the logo design, I had many ideas for the logo. Most of them didn't articulate the idea well enough. It was important for the logo to create the feeling of community, technology and safety

The logo also went through various colour schemes. While the blue colours are the main colours for the branding, their various other applications also had different colours depending on the type of app it was being used for. For example, their Anti - Violence app against women had the pink and purple colour scheme.
